Sydney’s CS:Go Surf Shop opened in the CBD on Saturday, March 1.
The cafe is located in the corner of the city’s South Bank, a block off the CBD’s famous Bondi Beach.
“We’re the only surf shop in the country that specializes in surf and turf,” said Sydney Surf Shop manager, David O’Sullivan.
Surf Shop is located on the same block of South Bank as the Sydney Surf Club, the first of which opened in 2008.
O’Sullivan said that since opening, the Surf Shop has seen “a tremendous amount of interest”.
“With our surf and tile shops, we’re really well-positioned to cater to people who want to shop for CS:S,” he said.
In fact, the cafe has become so popular, it is even expanding, with the Surf shop offering two types of CS:SW and CS:TF tournaments, as well as CS:R and CS -R tournaments.
It’s not the first time CS:GG has taken root in Sydney.
Back in 2014, the popular multiplayer shooter took to the Sydney Harbour Bridge to play a few rounds of CSG with a group of friends, with a crowd of 50 to 70 people.
On February 10, 2015, CS:G had its first major tournament at the Sydney Cricket Ground, with more than 40 teams playing in eight days.
